Reverend Thadius Edmund Sales, M.Div
Pastor Thad grew up in Tioga, PA, and attended Williamson Jr./Sr. High School (’12). During his senior year, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Religious Affairs Specialist (formally known as a Chaplain Assitant). While Thad served his country for 6 years he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication: Electronic Media from Mansfield University (’17). During his senior year at Mansfield University, he served as pastor of Little Marsh and Keeneyville United Methodist Churches (2016-2017). Upon graduating he was appointed to Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church (2017-2019) in Gaines, PA. During this appointment, Thad married his wife Larissa. The two then moved to Kentucky and Thad served at Paint Lick United Methodist Church (2019-2021). Now, Thad is serving us at Calvary Methodist Church, a Global Methodist congregation! In May of 2022, Thad earned his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.
In April of 2024, Thad was ordained a Deacon by Bishop Emeritus Young Jin Cho and then ordained an Elder by Bishop Mark J. Webb at the Northeast Convening Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church in Camp Hill, PA.
Thad and Larissa have two children, Wesley and Eden.
Pastor Thad and Larissa love to spend a lot of time outside. They are avid hikers, campers, fishers, and general lovers of the outdoors. Both of them enjoy bird watching, and Thad has a particular interest in nature photography. When not outside, they both love to play board games, watch movies, and play chess! Thad enjoys watching hockey, baseball, and football at any and all levels.
Pastor Thadius Sales is the recipient of the 2022 Frank Bateman Stanger Preaching Award from Asbury Theological Seminary.
